ROLLERCOASTER
Woody Weingarten, who’s facilitated and been chair of Marin Man to Man for nearly a quarter of a century, has written an optimistic book, “Rollercoaster: How a man can survive his partner’s breast cancer,” which focuses on how he and his wife handled the disease, its treatments and aftermath.
The love story/memoir-chronicle includes a chapter, “How men see it,” based on this group and its participants — and also acts as a guide to research, meds and help.
The book, which is aimed at male caregivers but can be of equal value to patients and female caregivers, is available through Amazon at http://goo.gl/c3GDzA. And up-to-the-minute updates on topics covered by “Rollercoaster” can be found on the author's website, http://vitalitypress.com.
